Stop and smell the roses.
I teach mindfulness to my clients every week. I explain that to get better they can't worry about what tomorrow will bring, and must focus on the here and now. Live in the moment and that will bring you happiness, joy and most importantly peace.
Since as far back as I can remember I have always wanted to leave New York. I never felt like I fully fit in. It was always too competitive and too fast paced for my liking. I always believed (and still do) that I would fit in and strive in a diet-NYC. I want the fun, accessibility, professionalism and intelligence of NYC, just toned down a bit.
Although I see myself living somewhere else I can't deny the fact that I am a New Yorker at heart. Sometimes I find myself trying to shake it I was bred this way. I do however, find it ironic that as New Yorker's we live in one of the greatest cities in the world, but our personality is to speed through and rush on to whats next. Every week I drive into NYC and I speed through the city with only my destination in mind. I breeze by the most amazing sights, drive over the most amazing bridge and river, see the most amazing people statues and never once stop to inhale how magnificent this city truly is.

(It even looks good in Black and White)
(The water may be green, but it's still so gosh-darn pretty)
I am learning slowly, but surely that the only way to truly live life is to live it in the moment.
Tell Me: Do you ever stop and smell the roses?
